Warm (Woolly) Winter Wishes

Here's my card for this month's Reverse Confetti Sketch for You to Try.  I created a wintery design using RC's Smitten Mittens stamps and dies.

Warm Winter Wishes card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti
The green knit patterned paper was perfect for creating a pair of adorable mittens!  I cut them out, then arranged them on a silver panel, using foam tape for dimension.  The set's "warm winter wishes" sentiment was stamped at the top of the panel in black ink.  A trio of silver sequins were positioned around the mittens for a festive sparkle.

To set the shimmery panel off from the snowflake covered background, I positioned a piece of contrasting red cardstock behind it.  After adhering a pale blue cardstock strip across the patterned panel, I adhered the sentiment panel on top. The finished panel was adhered to a pale blue card base to match the strip across the card.

Materials Used:
Seasonal Sentiments stamp set, Salsa and Mist cardstock, Smitten Mittens dies (Reverse Confetti); Versafine Onyx Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Recollections Silver cardstock (Michaels); Knit Picky 6x6 paper pad (Lawn Fawn); North Pole 6x6 paper pad (Doodlebug Design); silver sequins; foam tape
